HSS 5201 Implementation Science I: Fundamentals
This course introduces implementation science, including the evolution of the field and issues inherent in moving evidence into real-world practice. Students will learn fundamental terminology as well as basic conceptual tools and approaches common to the field that are transferable to implementation initiatives in different settings. Among the topics addressed will be the important role of both evidence and context in implementation, evidence-based interventions, and their adaptation to support implementation, stakeholder engagement, barriers and facilitators to implementation, and defining implementation strategies.
