O'Donnell School of Public Health Catalog
The Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health is the fourth and newest school within The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. The inaugural M.D./M.P.H. and M.P.H. program classes launched in 2023. The inaugural Ph.D. class will launch in 2024. UT Southwestern is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
UT Southwestern is a public academic health science center with approximately 20,000 employees, more than 3,000 full-time faculty, and nearly 4,000 medical, public health, graduate, health professions students, residents, and postdoctoral fellows. With over 5,500 active research projects, UT Southwestern generates more than $550 million per year in outside research funding.
The O'Donnell School of Public Health has access to several very large health care systems across North Texas, including William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Texas Health Resources, Parkland Health & Hospital System, Scottish Rite for Children, and the Veterans Administration North Texas Health Care System.
The O'Donnell School of Public Health is in the Florence (E) and the Green Research (Y) buildings, on the South Campus off of McDermott Plaza.
