CN 5314W Medical Nutrition Therapy in Critical Care

This course will educate students on general concepts and latest guidelines of medical nutrition therapy in critical care including nutritional physiology and nutritional assessment. Lectures will emphasize assessing malnutrition, enteral and parenteral feeding protocols, general problems, nutrition support interventions, fluid, and electrolyte management in critically ill patients in ICU. Some topics will cover nutritional support for specific conditions and pathologies to provide comprehensive patient care.
