Residency Requirement

In accordance with state law, no more than 10 percent of an entering Medical School class at UT Southwestern may be composed of non-residents of Texas. UT Southwestern’s goal is to accept students who are most likely to complete the full curriculum in four years. Therefore only applicants who are permanent U.S. residents or U.S. citizens are eligible for admission to the Medical School.
