Application Procedure

Applications for admission to the first-year class beginning in August of any year must be submitted between May 1 and Nov. 1 preceding the year of desired entrance. (For entry year 2023, the application becomes available on May 2 and the deadline is Nov. 1, 2022.) Application to UT Southwestern requires submission of an application through the Texas Medical & Dental Schools Application Service (TMDSAS). Applicants may submit a secondary application after UT Southwestern has received the primary application from TMDSAS. Applicants will receive an email prompting them to create an account to access the secondary application once the primary application is transmitted. Applicants are required to have both the primary and secondary application on file in order to be considered for an interview.
