FIM 2203 FIM- NEOPLASIA & NEOPLASTIC

This 4-week course will allow you to explore the various aspects of neoplasia as outlined in the course goals and objectives.  The COVID pandemic policies limit physical gatherings hence this course is being adapted to a remote, virtual experience.  Due to changing and challenging schedules the course continues to evolve.  The first week of the course – Critically Appraised Topic – introduces you to a structured, critical approach to the medical literature.   You will work with colleagues to use the medical literature to answer a clinical question.  The last three weeks of the course is built around a series of lectures and interactive sessions providing a sense of the breadth of oncology.   Faculty are drawn from multiple disciplines including radiation oncology, medical oncology, palliative care, genetics, radiology, palliative care, surgical oncology and pathology.  The course is designed to allow plenty of time to read and reflect (roughly 20 hours per week in the classroom).  The grade is pass/fail and is based on attendance and participation.
