GC 5215 Genetic Counseling Skills I
This course introduces core skills in genetic counseling including performing and documenting an accurate and tailored family history, pedigree construction, identifying various modes of inheritance, and determining risks. The course includes an overview of a genetic counseling session, documentation components, and genetic counselor roles in making a diagnosis. Learners will acquire skills related to clinical genetic counseling practice.
