DPT 5306 PEDIATRIC PATIENT/CLIENT MANAGEMENT

This course is designed to develop a student’s ability to provide evidence-based, family-centered care to children and families in a variety of practice settings. Students will learn about common pediatric musculoskeletal, neuromuscular/neurologic, and cardiopulmonary disorders, including related impairments in body structure and function, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. Pediatric tests and measures are introduced in class and practiced during a lab session with typically developing children. Laboratory sessions offer an opportunity for students to develop interventions for children with pediatric conditions.
