DPT 5133 HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

This course provides a focused overview of early childhood development. Changes in motor, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development are examined from infancy through early childhood. Students gain practical experience observing developmental skills in infants and young children. The perspective that human development is strongly influenced by an interaction between the individual, task, and the environment provides the foundation for this course and for Pediatric Patient/Client Management later in the curriculum.
