DPT 5140 ELEMENTS OF PHARM FOR THE PT
This course prepares physical therapists for their role as autonomous practititioners by providing instruction in general pharmacologic principles, drug effects of commonly prescribed medications, and over-the-counter drugs. Additional information on potential drug interactions and physical therapy interventions, indications, contraindications and side effects are presented. This course introduces the student to electronic resources and current texts that facilitate clinical screening in clinical practice.
