PUBH 5315 PUBLIC HEALTH GENETICS
Introduces the field of public health genetics through examples of genetic, ethical, political, and social issues emerging in the wake of the Human Genome Project and genomic technologies. Students develop the skills to analyze and critique public health, clinical, personal, and social implications of genetics and genomics at the local, state, and federal level, as well as academia and industry. Topics are illustrated using existing programs and projects as examples.
