HEAP 5303 Health Policy II
The second health policy course focuses on research as a part of the policy process. The course covers the intended and unintended consequences of health policy decisions, with a special emphasis placed on research – academic, governmental, non-profit, and for-profit – surrounding topics in health policy. Concepts from political science, sociology, law, and economics are used to frame the actions of research collaborators and how they both participate in and affect the policy process. Students conduct a cumulative research project that incorporates themes from the course.
