Prerequisites

Applicants to the M.D./M.P.H. program must meet all the prerequisites for the Medical School as outlined in this chapter of the catalog. UTHealth School of Public Health does not have prerequisite course requirements, but a baccalaureate degree is necessary for an application. In addition, it is recommended that applicants have at least a 3.0 GPA from coursework in higher education. Applicants who are citizens of countries where English is not the native language are required to submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language.
