PSY 2109 INPATIENT PSYCHIATRY
A four week rotation which will include working on an inpatient treatment team with an attending, second year psychiatry resident, and either one or two third year medical students. Patients will have serious psychiatric illness (predominantly schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depression, and dementia) and concomitant medical illnesses. In addition to clinical rounds, there will be opportunities to participate in team meetings, and educational conferences on the inpatient unit. Usually there is one weekend of day call, but no overnight call.

Must successfully complete PSY 1806 prior to enrollment
