Protected Expression on Campus

It is the policy of UT Southwestern to ensure that students, student organizations, residents, postdoctoral scholars appointed to academic training positions, faculty members, employees, and members of the public may engage in expressive activities on campus in accordance with applicable state and federal law, including Texas Education Code Section 51.9315.

In accordance with FSS-103 Protected Expression on Campus of the UT Southwestern Handbook of Institutional Policies and Operating Procedures, any person may engage in expressive activities, including listening to or observing expressive activities of others, in common outdoor areas of UT Southwestern’s campus.
