PSY 2116W MINDFULNESS FOR MED STUDENTS

This course will introduce students to Mindfulness. During week one, the history of mindfulness in the West will be reviewed. Students will learn the 4 Foundations of mindfulness and mindfulness based stress reduction. Week two will focus on the science of mindfulness and how to start and keep a practice. The focus for week three will be on the mindfulness of mind and emotion. The final week will focus on compassion, loving kindness, and resilience.
