PATH 2007 EXPLORE PEDIATRIC PATHOLOGY
This is a 2-week introductory course enabling the student to explore pediatric pathology. The student will learn about the scope of practice, frequently encountered pathology/diagnoses, the handling and processing of patient tissue and various special procedures (ie, frozen sections, immunohistochemistry, or special stains). The purpose of the course is to allow the student the opportunity to explore a career in anatomic pathology, and/or to acquire knowledge in pathology regarding appropriate referrals, consults, etc. relevant to future career plans.
