Medical School Residency Requirement

By law, no more than 10 percent of the entering class of the Medical School may be non-Texas residents. It is the goal of UT Southwestern to accept only those students who are guaranteed to complete the full four years of the curriculum based on citizenship or permanent resident status. Therefore, only applicants who are permanent U.S. residents or U.S. citizens will be considered for interview and admission to the Medical School.
