Application Procedure

Applications for admission to the first-year class beginning in August of any year must be submitted between May 1 and October 1 preceding the year of desired entrance. (For entry year 2026, the application becomes available on May 1 and the deadline is October 1, 2025.) Application to UT Southwestern requires submission of an application through the Texas Medical & Dental Schools Application Service (TMDSAS). Applicants may submit a secondary application after UT Southwestern has received the primary application from TMDSAS. Applicants will receive an email prompting them to create an account to access the secondary application once the primary application is transmitted. Applicants are required to have both the primary and secondary application on file in order to be considered for an interview. The deadline for the secondary application and supplementary materials (MCAT, LoRs, etc.) is October 15, 2025.
