PATH 2105 TRANSFUSION MEDICINE
This is a 4-week elective course covering the field of transfusion medicine. Students will shadow transfusion medicine resident and fellow. He/she will observe management of blood products as well as patients undergoing therapeutic apheresis procedures. The purpose of the course is to allow the student the opportunity to explore a career in the specialty, and/or to acquire knowledge in the specialty regarding appropriate referrals, consultations, etc. relevant to future career plans.
