SUR 1903 SEL - SUBI IN GEN SURGERY

To give the senior medical student additional exposure to general surgery with a graduated experience in the care of surgical patients. This course is designed for students who desire to increase the knowledge base and skills utilized in general surgery. It serves as an exploratory endeavor for a planned career in general surgery or other surgical sub-specialties and/or for those students who wish to enhance their knowledge of surgical topics in a generalist career program. All of the services provide general surgical care with emphasis in clinical areas as noted below. Service Emphasis PMH A General Surgery, Endocrine, Morbid Obesity (MIS/Bariatric) PMH C General Surgery, Colo- rectal, Surgery VAMC I General Surgery VAMC II General Surgery CUH General Surgery, Tertiary Care, Endocrine, Transplant, ACES, Laycock (Colo-rectal), Vascular, Surgical Oncology PMH General Surgery, Endocrine, Transplant, Surgical Oncology CMC Pediatric General Surgery, Transplant.
