MPA 5433 SURGERY
This four-week clinical rotation educates students on aseptic, sterile, and operative techniques by observing and participating in the care of surgical patients and procedures. Students will learn preoperative evaluation, intraoperative practices/techniques, and postoperative management of patients by participating in outpatient clinics, daily ward rounds, surgical cases, writing daily progress notes, and formulating treatment plans for their assigned patients. This clinical rotation also requires attendance at structured teaching conferences and simulation tutorials based on practical general surgical encounters.
