URO 2002W CLINICAL UROLOGY ELECTIVE
Introduction to clinical urology. Students will be assigned online learning presentations to complete at their own pace and be asked to complete all quizzes based on these presentations for review by the Medical Student Clerkship Director. Students will be assigned, as a group. to rotating faculty members for 2 hours sessions to include both didactic and interactive sessions. These will be carried out, daily using online platforms. Interactive sessions will include a combination of video review of selected procedures, case based discussions, and student led presentations. The student will have both morning and afternoon 2 hour sessions with each assigned faculty member for a total of up to 20 sessions during the elective. In addition, students will be expected to attend all pediatric and adult urological conferences (Pre-operative Conferences, Core Lecture Series, Morbidity and Mortality, Journal Club, Grand Rounds). Lastly, all students will be expected to create, and deliver a brief presentation on a topic of their choice at the conclusion of the elective.
