AIDS, HIV, and Hepatitis B Virus

UT Southwestern recognizes Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) as serious public-health threats. To promote an informed and educated response to issues and questions concerning HIV, HBV, and HCV, UT Southwestern policy provides a framework for managing risks associated with HIV, HBV, and HCV in compliance with state and federal laws in the context of the medical, educational, legal, administrative, and ethical issues involved. For additional information, the Texas Department of Health and Human Services educational pamphlet on HIV will be made available to students upon request through Student Health Services.
